It is indeed crazy to fall in love.
Your mind is filled with thoughts of the other.
You wish to be near them all the time even when you dont have anything to talk about.
Time just passes by as though all in the world that matters is the other.
Love they say is an emotion so powerful yet so deadly.
But why does it so happen that love and hate are two extremes of a continuum?
Can I ever stop loving the one who has caught my eye and captured my heart? I wonder.
Falling love is the sweetest thing to happen to anyone. Indeed it is medicine to loneliness!
Suddenly the long days become too short, hey?
My one desire is to cherrish this and keep the flame of love burning eternally.
Falling in love is sweet and can still happen at any age irrespective of your situation, I am a witness. Love is in the air!
Catch it and fall in the ocean of love………..
Your stories are welcome.
Dear Dr Joyce Edeki,
I can share my experience of how falling in love has drastically reversed my age back to about 15 years back. I now duel in a life of new horizon filled with brilliant atmospheric condition. It is indeed a nice dose for longetivity.
I go through life with upsurge of incredible happiness. Conversely, others’ weaknesses can be a factor for bleeding love sometime – We really need a lot of understanding, patience, and tolerance to stay on board; as the cost of being out of love can be a tragic issue.
Well said Jessica! Love is a powerful emotion. And scripturally, we are made in Gods image and likeness; and we are reminded that God is love. 1John 4:8 ” He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love.”
And Jesus taught us to love your God with all your heart (soul), and with all your mind and with all your strength; The second is this: Love your neighbours as yourself” (Matt 22:34-40) While there are different types of Love: Agape (God kind- unconditional love), Philia- (platonic love), Eros- (sexual romantic ), pragma – (Enduring love), Ludus -(playful love) and so on; suffice to know the boundaries and the situations where the appropriate love is expressed and received. The foundational love essential for human existence is firstly the love that is directed to God, The Father. Love to our neighbours and if graciously blessed the eros- sexual romantic love. The challenge for all humans lie and I posit this question: Can we as humans truly love God above all else; with all of our mind, all of our soul and all of our strength? How will this fit into our everyday living?
