Surviving to stand!

I was pondering on this scripture recently and these thoughts flooded my mind which I believe we could share.

Psalm 1:1-3 (NKJV)

 Blessed is the man, who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners,

Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But His delight is in the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree

Planted by the rivers of water,

That brings forth its fruit in its season,

Whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatsoever he does shall prosper.

 

Have you ever wondered sometimes after you have been through some situations in life; Boy just how did I survive that period of my life? How did I pull that through?

Where did I find strength to go through that?

There is a way for the righteous and the wicked clear pathway and rightly so their end thereof. There is an end that is justified for them who are diligent in their walk with God.

Are you planted by the water? Where do you find your strength and pleasure?

Are your roots deep and leaves green to survive the drought?

The drought comes in many shades and assuredly will test every aspect of your life.

Your feelings will fail you sometimes; your situational / momentary reasoning will challenge your beliefs and all you have ever heard of the word of God. Be planted in the house of God even when you do not feel like so. Because when you face some ‘hell’ experiences as you well know it is a lone time, when you are often on your own; the key to surviving is tapping survival resources from God’s word. Those lonesome moments however may be a very good thing in a way.

 

The tests you are going through right now are trying the word of God you have in you. We are admonished in the scriptures, having done all to ‘stand’. On Christ the solid rock alone I can stand all other ground is sinking sand.

The cares of life shall beat you down and wear you out if you do not have the deep roots in fellowship with God.

 The deceitfulness of riches may distract you. Remember you need to seek the Kingdom of Heaven and its righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. God is a jealous God, be careful that the cares of this world do not distract you. If you pursue success in the absence of God and His righteousness, then you could run the risk of being choked by it!

It is a choice that you got to make like Paul. I will not allow anything separate me from the love of God.

Are there issues choking you at this moment? How terrifying this can be? During episodes of choking you fear that you may lose your life if you do not do anything about this. This is the same way it is when life’s problems come our way. The choice is yours. Hold onto success at all cost and run the risk of dying spiritually as well as physically. You got to dislodge the cause of the obstruction (whatever is choking you) so that you can enjoy the goodness of God! Stand firm and hold unto God’s word. Proverbs 4:20-22.

God’s word has life and has the only remedy to sustain you.

 

You may ask but how can I be planted by the waters?

 

Dwell in the presence of God and get connected by faith to the God of the entire Universe. The fruit of His righteousness which includes joy, peace, favor, abundance on this earth and all the goodness of God will be your portion. Seek God’s face in prayers and the revelation knowledge in God’s word.

Many times after a turmoil comes the breakthrough (marked with joy and brightness of day)

When God is ready to connect you to your breakthrough, He will do the entire breakdown that is needed to bring you to your peculiar designed life path. All the distractions He will strip down anyhow until you are bare! You must be willing to stay right put. After the trying (drought) periods, then you are refined and ready for that breakthrough. God has the power to do as He wishes, just rejoice and be available. When you do your part of the business, God turns everything hitherto that has been negative, around. He will see, acknowledge and recognize you in your corner. Be strong and grow roots that are deep and dependable. In the times of trials, the depth of your roots will see you through the valleys and peaks of all your drought moments.
